California Consumer Notice Addendum
This California section supplements the Privacy Policy and applies solely to California consumers (excluding our personnel). The Table below describes how we process California consumers’ personal information (excluding our personnel), based on definitions laid out in the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA").
Not all of the items listed in the Table below are relevant to you. For example, we do not collect Social Security numbers from our users, but we may collect this data in the course of evaluating a job applicant.

Certain types of information we gather are considered "sensitive personal information" under the CCPA. This includes details such as your social security, driver’s license, state identification card, or passport number, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic background, sexual orientation, religious or philosophical beliefs, biometric data, and the content of your messages. We solely use sensitive personal information to provide and enhance our services to you, safeguard our services and community, and we refrain from using it to draw conclusions about you.
Retention Period for Your Information:
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for legitimate business reasons and as permitted by applicable laws. If you opt to discontinue using our services, you can close your account, which will render your profile invisible to other users. Please note that if you're inactive for two years, we'll automatically close your account. Upon closure, we delete your personal data as outlined below:
1. To ensure the safety and security of our users, we maintain a safety retention window of up to three months after account closure. During this period, we retain your information in case it's required to investigate unlawful or harmful activities. This retention is based on our legitimate interest and that of potential third-party victims.
2. Once the safety retention period ends, we delete your data and retain only limited information for specific purposes, as detailed below:
a. We retain limited data to adhere to legal data retention obligations. This includes transaction data for tax and accounting purposes, credit card information for transaction disputes, and traffic data/logs for one year to meet legal requirements. We also keep records of user consents to demonstrate compliance with applicable laws.
b. We retain limited information based on our legitimate interest. This includes customer care records, imprecise location data for customer care decisions, and data necessary to prevent banned users or minors from opening new accounts.
c. Additionally, we retain information based on our legitimate interest if there are unresolved or potential issues, claims, or disputes that require us to retain data. This could include complying with legal obligations or preserving data for legal proceedings.
California Consumer Privacy Rights
Opt-out of Sales/Sharing: We do not engage in the "selling" or "sharing" of your personal information, so no opt-out choice is necessary. This means that we do not exchange, rent, disclose, release, disseminate, make available, transfer, or communicate your personal information to another company for monetary gain or other valuable consideration, nor for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Know/Access: You have the right to request more information about the personal information we process concerning you, including a copy of the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
Correction: You have the right to request the correction of any inaccurate information we hold about you.
Deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of the personal information we have collected from you.
Non-Discrimination: If you exercise any of your rights under the CCPA, you have the right not to receive discriminatory treatment.
How to Submit a Rights Request: We provide tools and options for you to manage your information, including accessing, correcting, and deleting it. Refer to our Privacy Policy for more information on how to manage your information.
You can also directly submit a request to us. To request access, correction, or deletion, click here or contact us using the information provided in the Privacy Policy. To safeguard your privacy and maintain security, we verify your identity before granting access to your personal information or fulfilling your request. For instance, submitting a request while logged into your account may suffice for verification, but sometimes we may request proof of identity. You may also use an authorized agent to submit your request, in which case we may ask for evidence of your authorization. If you are an authorized agent making a request, please contact us as described above and provide proof of your authorization.
